Following the triumph of the full length film, Yahoo+, Nigerian filmmaker Ebuka Njoku is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated second project, ỤNỌ (The F in the Family).
Ebuka Njoku divulges his intention to unveil the film in theaters next year. Currently in its post-production phase, the forthcoming title promises to be a fusion of family drama and romantic comedy, shedding light on the joys, connections and imperfections that characterize the modern Nigerian family.
The film is set in the cultural heart of Eastern Nigeria, Enugu. The narrative of the film unfolds within the span of a day. It revolves around the eccentric young man, Junior, portrayed by Keezyto. He is attempting to reintroduce his fiancée to his family after a decade of estrangement. Unbeknownst to him, the seemingly straightforward endeavour evolves into a profound test, challenging both his relationship and the bonds within his family.
ỤNỌ has relatable characters brought to life by Nkem Owoh and Jennifer Eliogu, alongside emerging talents Keezyto, Sophia Chisom, Tomi Ojo, Abayomi Alvin, Dj Capello and Chimamanda Ukwueze.
The movie’s production is helmed by Njoku’s Agucho, in partnership with The Lorenzo Menakaya Company, Cut and Join Studious, Media 23, The Kreative Mindz, Freeman Productionz, Dinta and Online Hustle TV.
