If you're searching for an interesting-enough semi-love story, then this movie is capable of gripping your attention (and possibly retaining it for the length of the movie), regardless it's not that much in originality
One could argue that the plot was not that well built as no one tells us the reason for the king's extreme desire for power or how he came across these means... but that's begging for part 5 and 6 so I won't even go there.
