Could there be a conspiracy in the kingdom and who could be the solution to this abominable act. Watch what happens, with a surprise twist.

Introduction: How about y'all stop shaving off women's hairs in these Nollywood movies and just embrace bald caps already? Honestly, it'll save you (the producer) money, and save you (the actress) stress!

Excerpt

First of all it’s a 4 part movie… so… you can’t go further than a 3 on this. There was no apparent cinematography (actually, there were many shaky camera scenes). Some arguably overly prolonged scenes and some downright unnecessary scenes.

-Story: [1 out of 5] I wouldn’t call the storyline entertaining per say but the fact is that there IS a story line (more than I can say for many movies) and some people might find it entertaining… those ‘some people’ just ain’t me

-Originality: [1 out of 5] As a whole, it’s originality can be argued but the whole in itself consists of parts that we, the viewers, are way too familiar with.

-Predictability: [1 out of 5] What gives?

-Directing/Editing: [1 out of 5] First of all it’s a 4 part movie… so… you can’t go further than a 3 on this. There was no apparent cinematography (actually, there were many shaky camera scenes). Some arguably overly prolonged scenes and some downright unnecessary scenes.

-Acting quality: [1 out of 5] Stand out performance…. Queen Nwokoye! I really hope this girl realizes her worth soon o and upgrades herself because her acting skills are at the same level with people like Mercy Johnson and Ini Edo, yet (because of the roles she takes… and mainly her PR) she is being grouped on the same level as people like Collete Orji (don’t know who that is? My point exactly). Oge Okoye was not a slut in this movie… so I can’t even complain. Zubby Michael is definitely not YET lead role material… there are many places in which he is just forcing the whole thing. Rukaya Mashoud, first time I’m seeing her on screen. Not that bad… but not exactly great!

-Setting: [1 out of 5] I’ve seen low budget movies before… I mean, heck this is Nollywood we’re talking about, more than 60% of our movies are low budget. But in 2012, most people tightened their seatbelt/shoelace/buckles and put more effort into their productions. I’d have to say, that in the history of low budget movies I’ve seen all year, this has got to be the most ratchet low budget movie of 2012. I mean, see the king’s throne room sef? It looks like under canopy… Ngozi Ezeonu in all her beauty and class just looked so out of place in the room. Should I even mention the Prince’s city house… the furniture? Looks like it fell out of pre-Biafran war era. The carpet? The couch? Argh… and the guy even has the audacity to hire gateman? I mean seriously? How about we take that gateman’s salary and use it to do some renovations to this so called house of yours.

-Costume/Make-Up: [1 out of 5] This! Is what happens when you are too cheap to hire Uche Nancy or Chiemela Nwagboso.

-Props and Graphics: [1 out of 5] Taa gerrout! See the so called guards using cutlass as sword!

-Video Quality: [2 out of 5] Ok

-Audio Quality [3 out of 5] Not bad

-Soundtrack: [2 out of 5] Eh

-Musical Score: [3 out of 5] Nicely done

Well the question is… what exactly did Mercy do?

The way I see it, Mercy was smart. She knew what she want and she GOT it. She put herself in everyother movie so that the viewer had no choice but to notice her and note her name. She gave her all in every single movie she did. (And having a body like that doesn’t hurt in getting to the next level quickly)

Hence she became a household name by doing it the old fashioned way aka the work your ass off method.

lol at the body thingy, but seriously mercy’s body is a killer, i wish i would marry a woman as curvacious as she is, anyway that is by the way, back to the issue,i get ur point but don’t u think queen is doing the same which is working so hard(even thought she doesn’t have a body like that of mj,but her body isn’t bad), and giving it her all with each character portrayal, another person that has this same problem would be oge okoye(from the look of things based on the reviews of her movies u have done so far, i don’t know if u fancy her much), however oge would have been in the same league with mj had she not taken a break from the industry, actually she came in around the same time with ini and stephanie, but look now they are all ahead of her, i think the mistake she made is not quite establishing herself before taking the break, yes she was big back then but not well established, look at stephanie she did take a break from the industry at some point like oge but she did so when she was well establised which explains why she is still at the top league even after the break,if the likes of liz benson, saint obi,rmd etc are to come back today, they will still be big, why because the were already well established before quitting or slowing down on acting, the same cannot be said of the likes of nkiru sylvanus, grace amah etc. All in all i still would like more answers.

Chei! Flint o… I absolutely dread reading your comments lol. They’re always so long hahaha but no wahala I got you

Your comment reminds me of something I read a while back that said “the sign of a true celebrity is one that is smart enough to die at the peak of his/her success” lol… I’m not saying that Oge should die o (not explicitly anyways hahaha jk jk)

I loved the old Oge Okoye and true to your words, she was not a big enough celebrity to pull something like Stephanie Okereke pulled and the worst mistake she could have possibly made was coming back with all those useless movies.

She just failed doubly, not only did she leave when her career was bleh, she also came back and ruined the itty bit of a good name she might have managed to keep. With useless movies like Blackberry Babes, Fazebook babes and Lady Gaga. Like seriously? Lady Gaga? Ah! That girl does not like her career I tell you.

I disagree with you partially though, if ble ble comes back today I WILL WATCH O… ah! Nobody can cry quite like her lol. But as long as she comes back BIG! Not with something stupid like Lady Gaga… lol

Back to Queen, I think she is on the right track. I’ve been seeing her in quite a lot of movies lately. Give me 3-5 months and I’ll let you know exactly how well it’s working for her haha

Thanks for always reading our reviews Flint! I appreciate it :)

      u r welcome

as for the long comment thing, i don’t know i try to keep it short and simple but i end u realizing that i have much more to say than i thought. With regards to the ble ble stuff, i can understand u like and would watch her movie no matter what, but u actually pin-pointed out the problem i think she would have if she were to come back and it is exactly the same thing oge is facing which is will she appear in good enough movies, this is were the problem lies, will good enough and respectable producers approach her with their scripts, i don’t think they would want to take that risk even though she might still have the talent. With regards to queen, oge and rest like them who have this same problem, i will still keep an eye on them and see what happens.
