Ifeoma’s father: I’m a Christian;, I keep my word Doctor: Well sir, we are all Christians. Ifeoma: Please I’m going through a lot right now. My brother is lying almost at the point of death in the hospital, so can’t you just be nice? Just for once? For once? Cindy: Big deal, people die everyday. Get moving.

Excerpt

Chinyere Wilfred was a standout performance for me. It is so easy to overlook the older actors but this woman did not allow me at all. She gave me goose bumps! Even Fabian Adibe was also not forgettable. Desmond was particularly humorous in his role, hahaha! He had me bursting out in laughter with his lines. He did such a great job playing the sex-obsessed douche-bag.

Review

-Story: [3 out of 5] I liked how it was told, not too rushed but not necessarily prolonged. It was interesting and engaging (enough to make me stay up to 4:43am). However, I wished they developed some of the characters more, like we are never told what Stanley does for a living or who/where his parents are.

-Originality: [1 out of 5] Not as original as sliced bread but the story was unique to a degree.

-Predictability: [2 out of 5] It was easy enough to predict the ending but there was a twist in the movie that broke my heart, as in, tears were forcing their way out (but I had to stop them, I can’t be ruining my make-up haha).

-Directing/Editing: [3 out of 5] I mean, this is Lancelot and Emem we are talking about. He did a great job directing but they both deserve much applause for being able to put together such a talented cast and bringing out praise-worthy performances from each of them.

-Acting: [4 out of 5] Chinyere Wilfred was a standout performance for me. Dakore was Fayah! I’ve never seen such cold-heartedness packed into such a tiny frame. Genevieve, as usual, was beautiful to watch. My best part was when it dawned on her that her sacrifice was for nothing. I swear, I wanted to reach across the screen and cry with her.

-Setting: [2 out of 5] Stanley is supposed to be super rich but his compound walls weren’t painted and his driveway wasn’t paved.

-Costume/Make-up: [2 out of 5] Slight problem with Stanley’s wardrobe but it was mostly good, esp. with Ifeoma.

-Props and Graphics [1 out of 5] Stanley’s house could have had more details. And it was now so big, that you noticed how bare it was without props.

-Video Quality: [1 out of 5] Was not exactly the best.

-Audio Quality: [3 out of 5] Heard everything perfectly.

-Soundtrack: [4 out of 5] Nicely done

-Musical Score: [2 out of 5] Apart from one scene where the music sounded very out of place, it was still a great job.

I loved this movie ooo… In fact, I even watched it more than once. It’s the hopeless romantic in me. But when Genny’s character told that greasy boyfriend of hers that she lost her virginity, was it me or was the guy more pained about the virginity than how Genny’s character faired? I mean dude are you serious? You are angry that you will not get the virginity any more? What happened to love an empathy? That was the dog in him showing off. And at the end, he was indeed treated like one, A DOG!!! But yea, good movie.
